2011.7 Release Notes: Scoring, Numeric Data Type, Mobile Passcode, Export Completed Events and more... Released: October 13th, 2011 We are excited to share the details of our 7th release of 2011. Scoring We are very excited to announce that Field ID can now perform scoring on events. Many times criteria are marked using a score (for example, 0 - 5). Typically these individual scores are added or summed up. The total score is then used to indicate the result of the inspection. Field ID can handle any mix of scoring ranges on one checklist and the scores can be added up using either the Sum or Average. With the total value of the score you can then tell Field ID what score indicates a Pass or Fail. For a full description on how to setup scoring please see our help documentation at help.fieldid.com. Numeric Data Type When setting up Event Forms (checklists) you will now have another data type to select from. Numeric Data Type will allow you to specify that the value entered must be a number. When selecting a Number Field you have the option of specifying the number of decimal places that you would like when the value is entered. Numeric fields will be helpful when recording measurements or temperatures. New Add Schedule Widget When adding a new scheduled event the popup widget has been improved with a new layout and some quick links for quicker scheduling. In addition to using the calendar to select a date there are now quick links to schedule the event for Today, Tomorrow, Next Month, In 6 Months and Next Year. Mobile Passcode We have renamed the Security Card Login to Mobile Passcode. The Mobile Passcode can be setup on the web under My Account > Mobile Passcode and will allow you to login to Field ID Mobile using this Passocde instead of your username and password. The Mobile Passcode must be 4 characters login and can also contain a barcode or RFID number to allow scanning for entry into Field ID Mobile. (Please note, that the ability to login to the web with the old Security Card Login has been removed and the Mobile Passcode can only be used on Field ID Mobile) You can now export your completed events with all details, event form and observations to Excel. To export completed events you can go to My Account > Export / Backup. The export is filtered by Event Type and Date Range. Smart Search Auto-Completed (Field ID Mobile) On Field ID mobile you can now setup the smart search to auto-complete as you are typing in an identifier. The smart search can auto-complete on either the reference number or the identifier. New Photo Interface (Field ID Mobile) When taking photos with Field ID Mobile you can now see the all images that you have taken during an inspection and easily remove images if needed. Some more little enhancements... Our development team also added in the following small enhancements to Field ID this release:

Capture Date and Time When setting up Asset or Event Types you can now specific if you would like to capture Date or Date and Time as a data type. This will bring up our new (see below) calendar control allowing you to standardize all date entry in your Field ID account. Dates are most commonly used when you need to capture data such as In Service Date, Manufactured Date, Customer Sign Off Date. To get started with Date and Time simply go to Setup -> Assets & Events -> Asset Types or Event Types. When you setup Asset Attributes or a checklist item on an Event form you will see the new Date type. You can then choose if you would like to optionally include the time as well. New Calendar Field ID web now supports a new Calendar. Improvements include a cleaner layout and the ability to view 3 months at a time. This will allow selecting date ranges much faster. These notes are only visible to other users who have the ability to manage system configuration. Import / Export Users Adding to our ever growing suite of import / export tools you can now import and export all of your users. This will allow you to easily add all of your employees or customer accounts by filling out an Excel file. Similarly, you can export all of your users to Excel, make any modifications or add new users and then re-import them. The import process will update any existing users and add new ones. To get started go to Setup -> Owner / Users & Locations -> Manage Users and select the Import / Export tab. With Field ID you can currently import historic events through Excel.
